What to look for in a prebuilt PC/ Laptop

Prebuilt gaming PCs and Gaming Laptops are often a safe option for people looking to try to get into PC Gaming. This is often due to them having all the necessary parts required for gaming. With the laptops, you even have the screen and keyboard so you can check those off in regards to accessories. However, there are some things to look out for when it comes to purchasing a prebuilt gaming pc or gaming laptop in order to maximize the lifespan of the devices and your enjoyment of them.

Cooling

Often an overlooked feature for a prebuilt gaming pc or gaming laptop I believe is the cooling system. This really has to do with one of the notable cons of these devices being that they often have issues with cooling. Laptops are hit harder by this issue than prebuilt computers. This may result in the hardware being significantly damaged due to excessive heat, which will result in your gaming laptop or prebuilt gaming pc having a shorter life. It's best to check out what laptops or prebuilt machines have for their cooling. If one of the highlights is that they offer great airflow or their cooling system is optimal, then it's definitely worth a purchase.

Hardware

Hardware is most likely the component most people look into when it comes to a prebuilt gaming pc or gaming laptop. This may be due that they want to run the games with ease in the first place. This holds some truth as you want to make sure that the specs are able to hold up. I know for gaming laptops usually use a modified graphics card or processor so that way it could fit inside the laptop easier. Besides processors, memory components such as an SSD, Harddrive, and RAM is also important to look out for as well. Fortunately, these usually have on-par storage to a custom pc and they usually offer easy upgrades to RAM that you can just plop in. The power supply is another one to look out for so your machine can be powered effectively. Or if you want to try to game outside of charging, a battery is also a factor in regards to the laptop.

Design

The design of the gaming laptop and prebuilt gaming pc are also important factors in regards to the personalization of your devices. Not to mention the amount of space they take up. It's important that whatever device you are purchasing is that you enjoy its style of it. For the prebuilt computer, maybe go with a case that you find fancy or that's small enough to fit underneath your desk. For a laptop maybe you want to try a slightly slimmer model so you could carry it with ease since common gaming laptops are pretty bulky. With laptops, you also get the bonus of a keyboard and monitor, make sure those two are up to your liking whether it's the display quality or the personalization that you are able to do to both.
