Is AMD Pioneering a new way to overclock components?

Performance has always been an interesting topic when it comes to gaming pcs whether it's getting the newest hardware or trying to increase the productivity of what we got even if it means our computer will fry. It has just been announced that AMD is releasing a new tool that allows easier control on what components get overclocked.  Overclocking is increasing the clock rate of computer components to reach speeds they weren't designed to do. This may result in higher performance in games and other programs but comes with the risk of overheating your components.  AMD's new tool allows for their Ryzen 7000 series to overclock more components easier than before. This allows for better output from memory and processors which will benefit program performance. Not to mention this was designed for both parties as hardcore overclockers and those wanting to experiment. It also mentions how AMD really wants to pioneer overclocking with DRAM and RAM to increase performance seeing how they mentioned the settings for memory can be configured by the user's input regarding various system configurations.

Now while overclocking may be a good thing in terms of performance it is important to understand that overclocking is risky for people who are introduced to gaming on a pc. This is due to overclocking often increasing the heating and voltage of the components which can heavily damage not only your computer components but your hardware as well. Companies are recognizing that overclocking is popular and often allow it just as long as it's in a safe margin. AMD's new tool still requires some tweaking regarding the voltage being used by overclocking but is still relatively safe for people to use due to the ease of use which saves their settings and often provides some restrictions on the process to prevent hardware failure.
